NOTICE

J. & A. Moeschlin have registered in the office of the Secretary of the Commonwealth one class of bottles, viz.: pint beer bottles marked "J. & A. Moeschlin, Cold Spring Brewery, Sunbury, Pa.," on one side, and "This bottle is not to be sold" on the other side.
  All persons are cautioned against buying, selling, filling or using these bottles, as doing so is a crime punishable by fines and imprisonment.
  All persons having bottles belonging to J. & A. Moeschlin in their possession will please return them or give notice that they can be collected.  Persons refusing to return bottles will be dealt with according to law.

PENNSYLVANIA BOTTLERS LAW.

Sec. 3 That it is hereby declared to be unlawful for any person or persons hereafter, without the permission of the owner thereof, to fill with mineral waters or other Beverages any such bottles so marked, or sell, or dispose of, or to, but or to traffic in any such bottles so marked, and not bought by him or her of such owner thereof, and every person so offending shall be liable to a penality of fifty cents for every bottle so filled, or sold, or used, or disposed of, or bought, or trafficked in, for the first offence, and five dollars for every subsequence offense, to be recovered before any Alderman or Justice of the Peace, as fines and penalties are by law recoverable, for the use of the commonwealth.
