A CARD.
The undersigned has this day disposed of his stock in
trade, in the DRUG BUSINESS, to Mr. SETH JOHNSON, Jr.,
(late of the firm of Messrs. Clark and Johnson of this
city.)
MR. JOHNSON will continue the business in all branches at the old stand,
and upon the same liberal terms as when conducted by its
former proprietor.
Mr. Johnson's reputation as a druggist, is too well known to the majority
of persons residing in this city, to require comment.
To those who may not be acquainted with Mr. J., we would
like to say, that in our opinion, but very few persons
possess the required qualifications and business
capacity to conduct a Wholesale and Retail Drug business
better than he.
The sole cause of my retiring from the establishment is on account of ILL
HEATH, which I have been affected with for upwards of
one year; and during the later part of the time named,
so ill as to prevent me from paying that attention to
the business than its interest has demanded.
To my friends and customers I would return thanks for the very liberal
patronage that has been extended to me since having
established myself in the trade at this place, and would
bespeak for the NEW FIRM a continuance of the same from
this date forward.
Very respectfully, &c.,
Wm. M. CUNNINGHAM,
Milwaukee, March 29, '49--d2w
