Two Glass Works Start Up.

WELLSBURG, W. V., Oct. 31.--The Brooke Glass works, which has been closed for four months, resumed in full this morning with union men, giving employment to 300 people. The old Panhandle Glass works, which has been idle for eight years, has been rehabilitated and started up.

The sale of the Brooke glass works has been postponed indefinitely, the highest bid being $2,500. 
The plane cost $13,000. Anton Reymann, of Wheeling, was the highest bidder.

CRESCENT GLASS was established in 1908 by Henry Rithner Sr, and Ellery Werlben. Their original line was "bar goods", although they made solid ruby glass for lantern globes. At one time they were the major supplier of ruby tail light lenses for Ford Motors.
